چکیده
Methods This prospective observational study was conducted in a 19-bed polyvalent adult intensive care unit of the “Attikon” University Hospital, between November 2012 and June 2013.TF and TFPA levels were recorded on day of study entry (protocol day 0) and further followed once a week (days 7 and 14 or until they were discharged from ICU or until death). Tissue factor activity (TFa) was measured by homemade test of Stago Diagnostica. TFPI was measured by immunoenzyme assay ELISA standard phase. Disease severity at study entry according to Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE II) score, the degree of organ dysfunction quantified by the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score, the presence of DIC, as expressed by DIC score, the sepsis stage, and the respective laboratory data, were recorded on each protocol day.

متن کاملFACTOR V AND VIII INHIBITOR IN PATIENTS WITH COMBINED FACTOR V AND VIII DEFICIENCY
Patients with coagulation factor(s) deficiency who use coagulation therapy are susceptible to forming inhibitors against coagulation factor(s). In this survey we detected factor V and VIII inhibitor in ten patients with combined deficiency of factors V and VIII from north east of Iran (Khorassan province). It was revealed in our survey that eight patients had both factor V and factor VIII i...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Relationship Between Factor IX Inhibitor in Hemophilia B Patients and Different Types of Therapy in the North-eastern Part of Iran
Background: Hemophilia B is a bleeding disorder with a recessive X-linked inheritance pattern, in which the infected individuals have low levels of factor IX in their plasma. Affected individuals may have bleeding episodes after trauma or spontaneously considering the plasma level of factor IX. In order to prevent these episodes and to control bleeding, they should use coagulation factor concen...
متن کاملThe coagulant response in sepsis and inflammation.
Critically ill patients often have systemic activation of both inflammation and coagulation. Increasing evidence points to an extensive cross-talk between these two systems, whereby inflammation not only leads to activation of coagulation, but coagulation also considerably affects inflammatory activity. The intricate relationship between inflammation and coagulation may have major consequences ...
متن کاملP-78: Role of Allopurinol, as An Antioxidant Factor, in Increasing The Number of Received Oocytes and Embryos, and Reduce Apoptosis after Heterotopic Transplantation Mouse Ovarian Tissue
Background: Ischemia and reperfusion after transplantation is the main problem which decreases follicular density in the grafted ovarian. Many sources of free radicals such as xanthine oxidase were generated during ischemia. In this study, we used allopurinol as xanthine oxidase inhibitor to reduce ischemia-reperfusion injury, to increase received oocytes and embryos, and to decrease Apoptosis ...
